Steve Abrams (Philadelphia Black Sox) will print scoresheets for league use.
Old Business
Reminder by Commissioner Zangari that starting pitchers must pitch 5 innings unless they give-up 4 runs, earned or unearned, before 5 full innings pitched.
Reminder by Bill Groff (Norfolk Neptunes) that the 40 man rosters must include two eligible starters for infield positions and four outfielders.
Mel Smith (USMC) proposed that the “rally clause” be expanded to include a player’s card result of 40. George Taratino seconded motion. Vote 12 in favor/2 opposed ; To be implemented for 2017 Championship Season.
New Business
Billy Bell (Las Vegas) motioned that a manager have the option of increasing a relief pitcher’s grade when they enter the game in the middle of an inning. Steve Abrams second. Motion defeated 6 in favor/ 8 opposed.
Carl Swift (Amsterdam) motioned that a manager could eliminate a pitcher’s X,Y, or K strikeout if the result would be a double play. Discussion was held; no second.
Billy Groff presented Commissioner Zangari with a gift from all the ZSABL managers expressing their appreciation of the selfless work he performs on behalf of the ZSABL.
